Group Policy in Windows 2000 and XP, includes two options for script deployment:
Scripts (Startup/Shutdown):
In the Group policy console (gpedit.msc) under 'Computer Configuration\Windows Settings', you can specify scripts that are to run when the computer starts up or shuts down. Note: These scripts under Local System account.
Scripts (Logon/Logoff):
In the Group policy console (gpedit.msc) under 'User Configuration\Windows Settings', you can specify scripts that are to run when the user logs on or logs off the computer. These scripts run as User, not as Administrator.
